DOYLESTOWN, Pa.– IBEW Local 269, representing workers in the electrical industry in Central New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, endorsed Brian Fitzpatrick for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania’s First District.
“I am proud to represent the working families of IBEW Local 269. I will continue my work to protect every worker’s right to fair wages, benefits and retirement. Educational programs that ensure a next generation of skilled workers should be a priority as well. As an independent voice I also feel confident that I can continue to unite both labor and local small businesses to work together to grow and strengthen the middle class,” said Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick.
The IBEW Local 269 was founded in 1912 and proudly takes a part in developing communities, providing skilled electrical work for projects ranging from renovating and expanding the region’s airports to the construction of malls and housing developments.
“Our members thank you for defending working families on everything from Prevailing wage to Right to form a union. We also support your training and apprenticeship programs, ensuring a skilled workforce for the jobs of the future. Furthermore, your fight for small business making sure local workers are on local jobs will strengthen our middle class,” said Wayne P. DeAngelo, Assistant Business Manager/President.
