Doylestown, Pa- Brian Fitzpatrick is the only Republican Congressional candidate to be endorsed by the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, the largest federation of unions in Pennsylvania that represents more than 900,000 hardworking Pennsylvanians. The president of the PA AFL-CIO, the president of the Bucks County Central Labor Council and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick released the following statements on the endorsement:
“We were proud to endorse Brian Fitzpatrick for re-election to Congress. It takes 2/3rds of our Executive Council to endorse and the Congressman exceeded that easily. He had broad support of unions in the private sector, public sector and building trades. He shows a willingness to put partisan politics aside and support working families. That support of workers led to the endorsement,” said Rick Bloomingdale, President PA AFL-CIO.
“Brian has stood with Labor whether it is in the private sector, public sector or building trades. He has an open door for working families and is one of the few legislators that is bipartisan which does not go unnoticed. We are not a political party and we stand with those that stand with us,” said Tom Tosti, President, Bucks County Central Labor Council.
“I am truly honored to once again receive the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO endorsement. It is my mission every day in Congress to be an independent voice for the working families of Bucks and Montgomery counties. I have always fought for the interests of local workers and their families and I will continue to push for bipartisan solutions to create more jobs, higher wages and secure benefits,” said Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick.
